Introduced in September 2009, the iPod touch (Late 2009) was faster and had double the capacity of the iPod touch (2nd Generation) that it replaced. It also included a more powerful GPU. It was available in 32 and 64 GB capacities, for $299 U.S. and $399 U.S., respectively.
